Self Assessment

Who am I? What kind of person am I? We all need to evaluate ourselves.

Being honest with oneself is commendable and praiseworthy.

Currently, there are many special tests to help us further understand ourselves, such as the MBTI personality test, the Holland test, and SWOT analysis. Be clear about who you are, what you want to do, what you can do, your strengths and weaknesses, and conduct a reasonable self-assessment of yourself. Don't be arrogant or belittling yourself, and face your most authentic self with a normal heart.

External environment

Knowing the trend, going against it, and acting in response to it are all options. Which one is suitable for you?

Different environments shape our different values, and also give us different space for activities, development, opportunities, and challenges. When formulating career plans, we should familiarize ourselves with the external environment, such as industry development, professional employment opportunities, and thresholds for various positions, and then combine our own conditions to make career plans that are suitable for us.

Setting goals

"Going abroad for further education, employment, internships at home and abroad, and so on, all of these paths need to be chosen based on your own conditions and needs.". Career goals should be clear and specific, not overly ambitious. Its formulation must meet the needs of society and adapt to its own characteristics. At the same time, attention should be paid to combining long-term goals with short-term goals, and students with conditions can learn from the successful experience of senior brothers and sisters.

implementation strategy

For international students, it is first necessary to build a stable and broad knowledge structure with professional knowledge as the core, relevant professional knowledge as the foundation, and general knowledge as the support. Secondly, it is necessary to cultivate the practical operation ability, creative ability, lifelong learning ability, and psychological adjustment ability required to achieve goals.

For example, choosing to pursue further education may require scientific research skills, thesis achievements, and foreign language reading, writing, and translation skills, while employment corresponds to practical experience, professional skills, interview skills, and so on.

Timely adjustment

Career planning is also not static. Due to changes in their own and external environmental conditions, the originally formulated career goals sometimes deviate from the actual situation. This requires timely adjustments to the planning to ensure the smooth development of an individual's career and ultimately achieve their own ideals. It is recommended that everyone plan early and adjust in a timely manner, and that they need to reflect on themselves and be more sober

Many students choose to study abroad, but they are very confused about their future state of returning home. These students may follow their parents' wishes for going abroad, or they may be under pressure from domestic college entrance exams or postgraduate entrance exams, while the true purpose of studying abroad is unclear.

For us, studying abroad is not a journey. Only by making reasonable career plans in advance can we guide every stage of studying abroad and make our trip worthwhile.

If you plan your career, the first step is to have a clear self understanding of yourself. Understand what you like and are interested in, and consider your future career based on your interests. Of course, interest cannot be the only consideration. At the same time, we should also consider our own personality traits and what we are good at doing. Only by doing what you are best at at at work can you feel more fulfilled. Even at the beginning of the workplace, when professional skills are relatively weak, they can still make rapid progress. Moreover, we also need to have an accurate judgment on the future market prospects of the industry. If we can effectively combine interests, personality traits, professional skills, and professional concepts, it will become our greater advantage.

College professional selection is the foundation of career planning. Therefore, it is necessary to combine interests, expertise, and industry prospects to choose a major for yourself.

The second step in career planning is to understand your future industry and position, so as to know if it is what you want. How can we understand the future industry? Internship is a very effective way. Usually, the channels for students to obtain internships are online platforms or campus recruitment, but we often overlook one point: internal promotion within the enterprise. Currently, many large enterprises have established internal promotion mechanisms, which saves both the energy and time of recruiters and candidates, and ensures accurate positioning. Teacher Leo's internship program can help students accurately and efficiently find suitable internship companies. Internship can help us connect with society, transfer the source of information about the workplace from campus to society, and at the same time recognize ourselves, what kind of work and position is suitable for us, and what we don't want. And it can increase your own experience, which is very helpful for further study and future employment.
