Culture always flows steadily from one period to the next, and affects one group of people from another. It is born of people, but it never changes with people's will. No one is not immersed in the label of the times they live in. Whether we admit it or not, the influence of the younger generation on culture is always more intense. The so-called "popularity" has its own reasons. Stephy Fung let us see more expressions of Chinese fashion in mainstream fashion by combining traditional Chinese culture with modern technology. She added bright colors and obvious Chinese elements directly into her design, which can not help bringing a sense of contrast and breaking the inherent understanding of traditional Chinese culture.

After entering the millennium, our life began to integrate with global culture, and marginal groups and subcultures gradually entered the mainstream vision. From the "kill matt" costume born in the contradiction of China's urbanization process to the "non mainstream" vocabulary generated in the early era of network culture, to the accelerated globalization process, the network is thriving and developing, and the "subculture" aesthetics is in the ascendant. The popular culture of contemporary China is experiencing the "third surge" composed of subcultural lovers: the game between subculture and mainstream culture has been opened a more concrete gap.

As for the accurate definition of subculture, sociologist David Riesman defined it as early as 1957: "Subculture refers to those non-mainstream and local cultural phenomena corresponding to the main culture. It is the unique concept and lifestyle of a region or a group under the background of the main culture or comprehensive culture." Riesman believes that the difference between subcultural groups and the public is that, They deliberately avoid the mainstream business style and value, and more actively seek a niche style. Dick Hebdige, a famous American contemporary cultural critic, said in the classic subculture study subculture: The Meaning of Style, "subculture represents a kind of resistance and challenge to hegemony. This resistance and challenge is not directly caused by subculture, but rather indirectly reflected in style."

The subcultural groups we are talking about now are mostly from middle-class families. The elements such as hip-hop, animation, metal, punk, gothic and digital absorbed by subculture are all cultural symbols that entered the vision of Chinese youth at the beginning of the 21st century. Benefiting from the development of the network, offline space is no longer the primary factor for the formation of an ethnic group. These young people continuously receive international information, and then open up contradictory and strange flowers in the cultural soil of contemporary China.

This difference has stimulated the spontaneity of group expression. From worldview to methodology, this group of subculture enthusiasts we focus on has not followed the path of ancestors and held high the banner of "self" in order to overthrow any authority. Surprisingly and thought-provoking, they did not set up a hostile wall between themselves and the mainstream values of supremacy of success: understanding replaced obedience, and integration eliminated resistance. "They (subcultural enthusiasts) are not opposed to walking from the underground to the ground. What's more, nowadays, it would be very pedantic to divide the so-called underground. People in subcultures know that the power of individuals is not equal to the power of the mainstream Pang Ran. Therefore, they know how to adapt to the tide of the times and make more beneficial choices." Another invited reporter of this article, Jiang Wenqing, the manager of Mobius Hub, concluded after the interview.

The public's fear of the unknown and the need for the collective are often more serious in front of "dissidents". However, the emergence of subculture is not the vassal of any known cultural school. They do not flatter or care about cultivating close ties with the mainstream. This is why they enjoy themselves and form their own group.
There is no difference between good and bad culture itself, and human guidance can change its direction at any time. Jump out of the barrier and go up against the current to describe this ethnic group that is not far away from us. Understanding and respect begin with being clearly seen.
